Good outcome story

At the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association, every journey matters. when Jane's therapy dog was initially rejected for public transport despite fully complying with the policy, she felt stuck.

But with our dedicated Advocate stepping in, and liaising with Transport NSW, Jane's voice was heard.

After 14 long months, her approval card arrived. And with that, it's a new beginning of freedom and inclusion.

“Good afternoon Saf,

Thank you for your email & prompt response.

I have not enough words to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all your amazing work, you're an outstanding Advocate. I'm glad you were allocated my request for support.

Thank you greatly.”

“I wanted to send a few words in favour of Dolma Sherpa who helped me to fill out my Disability Support Pension form. She also suggested the right documents and reports I needed to attach.

Keep up your work, it helps a lot of people. 5 stars out of 5.”

“I would like to say how grateful I am and my husband for the support that you provided…  It is truly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and effort helping me. It will make a big difference…”

“Hi Arjun

Thank you for very much for taking the time to write this letter.
It is more than enough.
I appreciate your effort and support.”

“I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional support that you provided to me during my arrival to Sydney since 2014 and till now. Whenever I need any assistance in dealing with any governmental departments I will remember that MDAA will sure help me and I will come or call seeking your advice or assistance and you are always will well deliver.”

Good afternoon, Nick.

Thank you so much! Reading your email here has me in awe of you. What an absolute blessing you continue to be. To have your experience, knowledge and incredible support is absolutely everything to me right now.

While I acknowledge in my life I am currently at my worst, it gives me an incredible amount of hope and gratitude to have you available and giving your time and the dedication I desperately need right now. You are a bright light guiding me through darkness and I feel safe and heard having you there to get me through this.

I want you to know, there has not been a single word you've said that has made me feel anything but supported by you. You're experience and knowledge throughout this daunting experience has been very reassuring, so again, thank you.

I eagerly await further progress and an end to this challenging process [NDIS Appeals - ART].

If there is anything I can do or offer within my ability and budget, please do not hesitate to ask. I see you have done the majority of the heavy lifting throughout this matter for me and again, I am so grateful.

Sincerely

Julie
