cultural abilities - training and support imageRegistration

All mdaa cultural abilities courses require participants to complete the registration form, then post or fax it to MDAA. Your registration form must be signed and accompanied by payment.

Receipts

We will send you a 'Tax Invoice' Receipt.

Confirmation

Receipts are confirmation of enrolment. We will contact participants if the course is cancelled or varied.

Cancellations

We make every attempt to ensure that courses run. We reserve the right to change arrangements or cancel courses. We will notify participants as soon as possible of any changes.

Fees

All courses have clearly identified fees.

Refunds

Once registration is processed, we will fully refund or transfer where we cancel a course. We will refund 75% of the course fees on written request from participants wishing to withdraw if we receive the request before the course starts.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) relies on course participants supplying sufficient, current, clearly marked evidence to demonstrate competence in the units for which they seek recognition. We will recognise Qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by other RTOs on our scope of registration.

Recognition of Current Competence (RCC) is only available for the life of the Certificate or Statement of Attainment or where a participant is currently working in the field. All claims for RPL or RCC must be submitted to the RTO Manager before the training. An application form can be obtained by contacting the RTO Manager. We will respond in writing to all claims within 14 working days.

If at the beginning of a training course a participant wants to seek RPL or RCC, they can discuss their claim with the trainer. The cost of RPL/ RCC is equivalent to the cost for assessment for the particular course. Credit transfers will be considered and managed using the same procedures.

Participant Support

As all training will be conducted in English, participants are welcome to provide their own interpreters. We make reasonable adjustments to accommodate all needs.

If participants have any difficulties (including language, literacy and numeracy), we aim to accommodate their needs or refer them to the appropriate service.

Pre-requisites

Please see Course Outlines.

Transfers

Transfers can be arranged on written request only if we receive the request 14 days before the course starts; we will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate participants in the next available course.

Code of Conduct

By choosing to participate, you agree to adhere to a code of conduct that facilitates learning. We operate in accordance with relevant legislation (ie, anti-discrimination, harassment, equal employment, vocational education and training, occupational health and safety, etc - details are available on request) and we reserve the right to terminate the participation of anyone who fails to adhere to the standards required by these laws.
