Religion and Disability

cultural abilities - training and support imageOutline
Religious beliefs play a large role in the lives of many people with disability and their families. All major religions say something about disability and this may be a major influence on the person with disability and their families and on their attitudes towards disability. This workshop will draw out some of the key religious views and what implications they have for our work with people with disability. The workshop will provide participants with a framework which will enable them to empower individuals and families within their religious beliefs.
