Ethnicity and Disability Factbook

There are people from 284 countries speaking some 240 different languages living in NSW (ABS Census, 1996). No one person can know all about these cultures and languages. The solution to better service provision in a culturally diverse community does not lie with trying to become an expert in all cultures, but with identifying concrete strategies and actions that reduce the barriers for people from NESB with disability and enhance the quality of service provision.
