On 6 June 2007 RFNSW invited MDAA to come to one of their staff meetings; Vanco (Individual Advocate) and Luis from Community Voices (CV) went there to have a chat and talk about MDAA.

RFNSW is a non-profit, non-government organisation without any religious affiliations. The organisation provides accommodation and outreach support to people with psychiatric disability and mental health problems since 1973. For more information visit www.rfnsw.org.au

Vanco explained what about MDAA offers to people from a non English Speaking background with disability, specially advocacy support and also about all the other projects and activities MDAA does.

Luis informed RFNSW about what the members of the CV project do as well as some of the recent visits to local schools and talks with community workers.

RFNSW staff was very friendly, 17 of them were present, mainly residential support workers. They made a lot of questions about MDAA and people with disability and also they shared some of their own experiences working with people with mental issues.
