photo of Shu in Griffith for the first time - she stands beside a statuteI went to Griffith with Barbel and Ruth at the beginning of December. We travelled in a beautiful big car which fitted in all our things including CDs and food for the trip. We met at MDAA's office at 11.30 in the morning and it took us about 8 hours to reach Griffith.

One thing that is very different from Sydney is how very clean Griffith is, unbelievable it is so clean.

We went to the Italian pizza shop; I really enjoyed the taste of the food. In front of the shop there is a big fat man, Barbel called it 'Santa'.

photograph of Shu and Tracey with a horseOn the second day me and Barbel had a 'community voices' talk and we got lots of people asking us about MDAA in Sydney, how many people in MDAA and they ask me does Griffith look like Sydney.

The thing I liked the most was Tracy taking me and the kids to see a horse, something I have talked about and always wanted to do. Tracy also took me to a high mountain where we could see all around Griffith.

Believe it or not I can't wait to go back to Griffith again. I hope to go at Easter and see a lot more things.
